Health and Safety
Quality Drainage Company take Health and Safety serious like any company should no matter how big or small. QDC pay to provide our engineers with Health and Safety, Drain and Sewer, CCTV survey, Drain Lining training with refresher courses annually or as and when required (normally when major changes are made by HSE). Our engineers also hold valid CSCS cards. We have an independent Health & Safety Consultant who is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health, who undertakes or arranges some training as well as advises and updates us on general Health & Safety matters.
We have a Health and Safety Policy as well as an Environmental Policy and Equal Ops Policy all checked and updated by our Health & Safety Consultant. Toolbox talks are given on a regular basis and engineers are involved in undertaking risk assessments and method statements in conjunction with senior relevant staff. In addition, all risk assessments have recently been reviewed and revised by our independent Health & Safety Consultant.
All company vans have first Aid boxes and the Director and another Engineer are trained to be First Aid Appointed Persons.
